Registration is open for the annual College Pathways program presented by Vermont Student Assistance Corporation (VSAC). This is a free conference for students and families that consists of a variety of helpful workshops about the college application process and financial aid. The conference is held at three locations: St. Michael's College on March 18, Castleton University on April 1, and Johnson State College on April 29. For Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors
The Governor's Institutes of Vermont are week-long summer enrichment programs in the areas of Environmental Science & Technology, Mathematical Sciences, Current Issues & Youth Activism, Engineering, Arts, Information Technology & Digital Media, Entrepreneurship, Young Writers, Astronomy, and Architecture, Design & Building. For Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors
MedQuest is a six-day summer program that is sponsored by the Southern Vermont Area Health Education Centers. It gives students the opportunity to engage in hands-on exploration of medical careers, and includes a hospital job shadow. The tuition for the program is $500, but some scholarships are available.
